It presents the perceptions that students of librarianship UFSC have on the learning paid training to perform at higher education institutions based in Florianopolis. Bring a result of research whose main goal was to analyze the contribution of non-mandatory training for university education in librarianship. The theoretical framework consists of social construction and the social process, that systematize the phenomena related to the development of everyday social reality and historical and social development of civilizations. Data collection involved students of librarianship UFSC, enrolled in the 6th and 7th semesters in the second half of 2008. Data were collected through interviews. For the analysis of obtained discourses was employed the technique of the Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (Collective Subject Discourse) (DSC). The result indicates that the learning paid training help to improve the student as a way of learning by doing, develop skills and improve their theoretical knowledge. However, the carrying out of practices and evidence of lack of local supervision limit the positive effect of this practice.Downloads
