INFORMATIONAL DIMENSION OF MOZAMBICAN STATE IN THE LIGHT OF ITS GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS

This article examines the technical and professional dimension of the government archival information in Mozambique within the framework of the main government programs established between 1975 and 2005, which reflect the building and reform of the Mozambique State and society. It describes the fragility of information resources, practices and structures, the absence of information public policies, the restricting right to information on press freedom, as well as the aim of information agencies only in its cultural scope. Concludes by pointing to the absence of an information project in the Mozambican State construction and reform and considers that the formulation of government programs should assume an interaction with the prospect of information. Recommends be urgent and essential to the establishment of a national information infrastructure and the definition and implementation of a legal framework in the area of information under its technical support.Downloads
