The audiobook is considered in this case study, carried on in the Public Library of Bahia State, as an instrument of social inclusion for the local visually impaired community, allowing autonomy, agility, interactivity and a active participation of them with new informational trends offered by information technology, considered important issues for their social interaction. At the same time it has been analysed the profile of the readers of this library that have no visual impairment, to identify their knowledge on the technological trends, and presents to them a dynamic way that encourages their habit of reading.
