REMOTE CLASSES IN THE CONTEXT OF PANDEMIC: ANALYSIS OF SPEECH ACTS IN THE CARTOON GENRE

The present work aims to analyze the acts of speech, in the light of pragmatics, in cartoons on the educational theme and social inequalities that permeate Brazilian society during the covid-19 pandemic period. The corpus of the research is composed of four cartoons, produced by three authors, which were disseminated on social networks during the year 2020. The methodology adopted is bibliographic and qualitative and follows the theoretical assumptions of Austin (1962), Marcuschi (2008), Levinson (2007), Moreira (2016), Figueira (2018), Pimentel and Mesquita (2018), and others. From the analysis, we found that the cartoon genre presents elements that direct understandingbeyond the linguistic sphere, relating political, economic, historical and cultural factors. Therefore, speech acts manifest themselves in the corpus of this study through the discursive interactivity inherent to the cartoon, as a gender that expresses a critical position towards the phenomena that semiotize the world.
