Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Papers must be submitted accompanied by an anti-plagiarism report.

Author Guidelines

Fundamental Rights, Access to Justice, Constitutional Jurisdiction and New Rights are the editorial lines of the Journal, and any article submitted for publication must be unpublished in Brazil.
The article must be written in English, Portuguese, Italian, French or Spanish, and, to submit it, the author must first register on the site and follow the model provided in the Template file.
The article that does not obey the Template's criteria will be rejected.
The article must be submitted to the Research Ethics Committee whenever human beings or animals are, directly or indirectly, the object of research, including projects with secondary data, sociological, anthropological, and epidemiological research.
The evaluation process will be carried out in two stages: initially, the Editors will evaluate the adequacy of the article to the submission rules and to the editorial line of the Journal, so that failure to comply with rules 1, 2, 3 and 4 will result in immediate rejection of the article.
Next, the article will be submitted to a double-blind review by an ad hoc reviewer who does not know the authors, in the same way that the authors do not know the reviewer. If the Editor does not agree with the evaluation, the article will be submitted to a second reviewer.
To assure the diversity of authors, as a rule, an author can only publish in the RBDA/UFBA, one article every two years.
Once published, the article will be considered licensed to the Journal Editors, and will only be able to be published in other places after previous and express authorization, citing the original publication as a source.
Partial citation of published articles will be allowed without prior authorization, as long as the source is identified.
