Abstract

Peru was the scene of numerous episodes of violence between the years 1980 and 2000, a period later known as Internal Armed Conflict (CAI). These events profoundly marked the history of the country and consequently the lives of those who were victims of their effects. Families were devastated, there were deaths on a massive scale. Orphans, widows and women raped and many young people kidnapped and murdered. The CAI, which resulted in several deaths, kidnappings and the disappearance of people, is a theme present in several Peruvian artistic productions today. The traumatic experiences suffered by Andean peoples, especially women, is presented in the novel Rosa Cuchillo (1997), by the Peruvian writer Óscar Colchado Lucio, with whom we will dialogue in this work. We will analyze how this author revisits the context of Peruvian violence as well as exalts the Andean culture and its ancestral manifestations. Therefore, in this article some formal and thematic aspects of the novel Rosa Cuchillo will be presented, some of them fruits of the master's research in which I carried out the analysis of the novel, relating it to the homonymous scenic action developed by the cultural group Yuyachkani. For the present work, we will have as a theoretical basis Rita Segato (2012), Rocío Silva Santisteban (2017), Walter Benjamin (1987), Carla Dameane Pereira de Souza (2017), Edith Pérez Orozco (2011).
