Crise do Welfare State, Políticas do Setor Informal e Consenso Liberal na América Latina

Abstract

Este artigo analisa as implicações de desregulamentação do mercado de trabalho e da redefinição do papel do Estado na esfera social na América Latina, identificando os determinantes econômicos, as bases sociais e as mediações políticas que levam à implementação do ajuste estrutural e associando esse processo à questão da exclusão, da cidadania e da legitimidade estatal.

Welfare State Crises, Informal Sector Polices and the Liberal Conconsus in Latin America

This article analyzes the implications of deregulation of the labor market and redefinition of the role of the State in the social sphere in countries of Latin America. It identifies the economic constraints, social basis, and the political mediations that lead to the implementation of suck structural adjustments, associating this process to issues related to the question of exclusion, citizenship rights, and State legitimacy.
