Abstract

Resumo: A partir da leitura interpretativa do poema “Balada das dez bailarinas do cassino”, publicado no livro Retrato natural, de 1949, propomos repensar o lugar pronto da crítica sobre Cecília Meireles, que geralmente afasta sua poesia das coisas do mundo e do engajamento político, e refletir sobre a relação que nela se verifica entre voz poética e questões de gênero, considerando especialmente as modulações de sentido de uma “certa ausência do mundo” em sua poética.

Abstract: From the literary reading of "Balada das dez bailarinas do cassino", poem published in Retrato natural (1949), we propose to rethink the ready place of literary criticism on Cecilia Meireles, which usually distances her poetry from things of the world and political engagement, as well as to reflect on the relation between poetic voice and gender issues, especially considering the modulations of meanings towards a “certain absence of the world" in her poetics.
