THE REMARKABLE SCOPE OF LITERARY STUDIES: A WALK THROUGH ISSUE 70 OF ELL

Abstract

We share with our reader, with great satisfaction, the new issue of Revista Estudos Linguísticos e Literários. By analyzing the material received, we can see, with the large volume and quality of the contributions, that there is a huge interest in Literary Studies and the possibilities for discussion they propose. The texts that were considered for publication fall within the tripod literary theory/criticism/historiography in an extremely comprehensive way. As editors, we see, in the wide range of texts compiled here, an important contribution to the expansion of Literary Studies as a field of knowledge that is, at the same time, academically consolidated and a stage for conflicts to delegitimize and reduce it in the public arena. Therefore, we celebrate the collection that will be made available by ELL, which has published texts that vary widely in theme and analyzed corpus. Furthermore, we are pleased to present texts by authors from all five macro-regions of Brazil.
