Abstract

This report presents the experience of the group Mulheres Encenadoras - a network of research, creation and sharing of works made by women artists in the field of theatrical directing created in Belo Horizonte/MG – during the "Female directors in network" meeting between the months of August and September of 2021. The event featured a performative lecture, five thematic discussion tables, an artistic residency and four workshops, in addition to the production of seven podcast episodes with the participation of Brazilian and foreign female directors. Such actions aimed to foster the development and strengthening of a network of women artists and researchers (cisgender and transgender, black, lesbian, mothers, underprivileged) who are often made invisible in the processes of legitimation in the field of research and artistic production. This report seeks to contribute to the reflections on practices that are allied to feminisms, insofar as they seeks to build, disseminate and provide visibility to works, poetics, experiences, theories and other apparatuses about and in the scenic language, from different women’s point of view and looking for a gender de-hierarchization within a system that is still guided by androcentric and patriarchal logic.
