IMPROVISATION-KNOWLEDGE: SENSED KNOWLEDGE AND INVENTIVE COGNITION
Abstract
This paper features a notion of improvisation-knowledge taken from the concept of sensed knowledge in Hissa and Ribeiro (2017), and defines it as an instance of inventive cognition according to Kastrup (1997). The methodology is built by the bibliographic review and the critical interpretive study of interviews given by dance artists Dudude (2020), Margô Assis (2020) and Tuca Pinheiro (2020). As elements that shape improvisation-knowledge, I point out the development of: a) conscious improvisational arrangements in the scenic performance, in scripts and dance creation; b) playwrighting and singular trainings shared with dance communities; c) investigations on how to co-act in real-time composing as well as in the relativization of expectations by means of the practice of instant composition.
Keywords: improvisation-knowledge, invention, problematization, cognition.
