Identification and Proposal of Actions for the Diffusion and Consolidation of the Culture of Protection of Intellectual Property at the Federal University of Western Pará

Abstract

This research aimed to identify and describe the main actions of dissemination and consolidation of the culture of intellectual property protection implemented by 3 public universities of national prominence in this activity and the actions instituted by the Federal University of Western Pará (Ufopa). To do so, exploratory and descriptive research was used, using a mixed approach and procedures of a bibliographic, documentary and case study nature. Thus, it was possible to identify both the actions carried out by the Federal University of Minas Gerais, State University of Campinas and Federal University of Campina Grande, as well as those instituted and implemented by Ufopa, which were compared, resulting in a set of strategic actions that were proposed to be undertaken at Ufopa, since this university still does not have a culture oriented to the protection of its knowledge and creations.
