Abstract

The year 2021 was another difficult year for everyone, living with the astonishment of the Covid-19 pandemic that has been plaguing us since 2020. Cadernos de Prospecção magazine, in its commitment to the scientific community, especially with the Professional Master in Property Intellectual and Technology Transfer for Innovation (ProfNIT), continued with its activities in a committed and focused way, in the socialization of the knowledge produced, in the most diverse fronts, related to the theme of innovation. This latest issue of the journal for the year 2021 features 21 articles by 58 authors affiliated with 24 institutions from 13 Federation Units located in the five regions of Brazil, showing the coverage throughout the national territory. The topics covered in the selected articles range from the coronavirus pandemic, technological prospecting in relevant areas, such as health and education, to discussions on various aspects of intellectual property and technology transfer (IP and TT). Articles are presented dealing with cultivars, brands, technology transfer, among others. Much more than a channel for publicizing works developed within the scope of the aforementioned master's degree, the magazine consolidates itself as an important disseminator of IP and TT culture, open to the whole society. The journal Cadernos de Prospecção, attentive to the new demands, announces an expansion of the scope of its publications from December 2021 with the creation of a section on Geographical Indications, aiming to meet the demands of an area that presents a growth of scientific production within the Profnit and the academic community. We invite readers to navigate this vast ocean of IP and TT, wishing you all a good and fruitful reading.
