Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the difficulties presented by the Madrid Agreement, the solutions brought by the Madrid Protocol and the difference between both, forming the System of Madrid that governs the international registration of trademarks, in addition to exposing the adaptations by which the Institute National Industrial Property Law needed to pass for the country's adhesion to the Madrid Protocol for the registration of international trademarks.

She holds a PhD from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME/2011), a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2005) and a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2003). She has experience as an automation engineer - Braskem S.A., as a laboratory technician at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Pelotas-UNED-Sapucaia do Sul/RS and as a teacher of technical level and technological graduation at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Pelotas-UNED-Sapucaia do Sul. South/RS . She currently works as a researcher at INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property) - Rio de Janeiro/RJ. Has experience in Chemical Engineering, with emphasis on Industrial Automation of Petrochemical and Polymer Processes, working mainly on the following topics: simulation and modeling of polymerizations in Phoenics and Ansys, sintering, UHMWPE, polyethylene, polymer processing, recycling, process quality , technological research, innovation and technology; genizia.islabao@gmail.com.
