Technologies in Public Safety: prospection about the use of artificial intelligence and another devices

Abstract

This article conducts a technological survey about the artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) directed to its application in Public Security presenting trends that can improve information and develop the services provided by public security agents in Brazil. Technological trends are demonstrated through a technological prospection inside the patent bases: Lens, Questel-Orbit and the Derwent Index Innovation. The patent data were gathered together with bibliographical researches in the area creating a brief overview of trends about the use of the artificial intelligence combined with the Internet of Things (IoT) resulting in facial recognition devices, trigger sensors, radio frequency identification and another services that can be directly related to Public Security.

Edilson Ponciano de Lima, Federal University of Alagoas

Master's student of the Postgraduate Program: Professional Master's Degree in Intellectual Property and Technological Transfer for Innovation at FORTEC / UFAL - PROFNIT (2016), Has a "Lato Sensu" postgraduate degree, at the level of specialization, in Industrial Automation and Process Control from Centro Universitário CESMAC (2011), Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from the Faculty of Alagoas (2008). Coordinator and Representative of the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad - OBR in the state of Alagoas (2017). He works as assistant professor I in the Mechatronics Engineering course at Centro Universitário Tiradentes - UNIT-AL - Campus Maria Amélia Uchôa and is a senior automation technician - SGS do Brasil at the Natural Gas Processing Unit of Petrobras in the city of Pilar - AL . He has experience in the field of Electro-electronics, Robotics, Instrumentation and Automation and Industrial Process Control, Intellectual Property, RD&I.

João Paulo Lima Santos, Federal University of Alagoas

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Alagoas (2005), a Master's in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2008) and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2011). He worked as a Researcher at the National Institute of Industrial Property (2009-2011). He is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Alagoas. He has experience in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Petroleum Engineering, working mainly on the following topics: well engineering, numerical methods and industrial property. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

Vinícius José Ferro Gomes, Federal University of Alagoas

Graduated in Business Administration from Universidade Estácio de Sá (2008). MBA in Financial Management, Auditing and Controlling from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2011). Master's student in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation - PROFNIT / UFAL. He has experience in the area of ​​Administration, with an emphasis on Financial and Public Administration. Lecturer in technological courses, Civil Engineering and Business Administration at FAT- Faculdade de Tecnologia de Alagoas. He works as a business consultant in the financial area, public management in public procurement and administrative contracts, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Francisco Medson Lima Maia, Federal University of Alagoas

Master's student in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation - PROFNIT (current UFAL), with an MBA in Project Management (UNIT 2015), Graduate in Information Systems (IFAL 2012) and in Law (UFC 1999) and Bachelor in Public Administration ( Current IFAL) and Post Graduate in Agile Software Management and Development (current IFAL). Collaborated as a Distance Learning Tutor at the National Public Security Secretariat - SENASP-MJ, in Spanish, English and Criminal Investigation courses. Professor of Integrated Management of Public Security, Notary Practice and Computerized Police Systems in the 2013 Training Course of the Civil Police Academy of Alagoas. With extensive experience in the area of ​​Police Investigation, Public Management, Disciplinary Administrative Law and Software Development.

Luíz André da Silva Lima, Federal University of Alagoas

Master's student at the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) in the PROFNIT® program (Postgraduate Program in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation), Strictu sensu, dedicated to the improvement of professional training to act in the competences of the Technological Innovation Centers( NITs) and in Innovation-Promoting Environments in the various academic, business, government, social organizations, among others. UFAL is a higher education institution and the master's course is located at Campus A.C. Simons. I am a specialist in Industrial Automation and process control (Course held at CESMAC in 2011), SPECIALIZATION IN INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT, SENAI CIMATE, MBA in business consulting at Senai - SC in 2009, postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety Engineering through Unifal in 2012. MBA in Design, Execution and Control of Electrical Engineering by the Graduate Institute - IPOG Graduation in Maceió (2016), degree in the specialization course in teacher training in Electromechanics by the Federal Center for Technology Education (CEFET-AL) currently named as Instituto Federal de Alagoas (IFAL)) and GRADUATION IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING by Centro Universitário CESMAC (2010)
