Abstract

A technological prospection was carried out to evaluate the use of a new mixture of chemical composition, from attractive sources, to control Rhynchophorus spp.. Patents and scientific papers were searched at WIPO, PATENTINSPIRATION, LATIPAT, Science Direct, and Scopus. Twenty-three patents were recovered at WIPO base, 27 at PATENTINSPIRATION and 5 at LATIPAT, all using the term "Rhynchophorus". In Brazil no patents were found using the term "Rhynchophorus". The classification of patents are A01N and A01P. For the article searches, the term Rhynchophorus had similarities between the Science Direct platform and Scopus, with values of 334 and 371 articles published. Already the term Coconut palm and natural volatiles had a total of 1869 articles published in the platform Science Direct.
