Prospecting Educational Technologies in KNX

Abstract

This work presents a technological prospection about the educational technologies that use the KNX protocol in their systems. Such protocol consists of an open communication standard to control building and home automation systems. When prospecting the technologies available in the market, it is intended to develop a product for education using components of the KNX system focused on the teaching and learning process within the courses of Buildings and Houses Automation. To do so, the survey was carried out in national and international databases, academic and patent. The results indicate that there is no product to facilitate the learning of KNX technology within the educational institutions, demonstrating the demand to develop a specific procedure to generate products that meet the needs of this market, seeking the diffusion of such knowledge in a simple way.
