MULHERES EM LUTA
PAULINA CHIZIANE E GILKA MACHADO EM BUSCA POR ESPAÇO NA LITERATURA DE SEU POVO
Abstract
The article elaborates some reflections about female literature, especially the one produced by Gilka Machado and Paulina Chiziane, demonstrated by the poem “Ser Mulher” and the short story “As cicatrizes do amor”, respectively. The investigation is dedicated to showing the social and literary path of two women who have printed a significant mark in the literature of their people. The points of convergence and divergence between the productions are observed in a way to affirm the exchange of experiences, between Gilka and Paulina, by telling the women's condition. The gilkiana poetry and the storytelling of Chiziane are the result of the social and literary silencing elaborated by critics that evidence and ignore what they point to as more or less important to literature. The Brazilian and Mozambican history walk, side by side, to the women's fight and, to the writers, they are motivated to recognize, to centralize, and to claim the women's space in their literature. As a theoretical framework, it is used in the discussion of Bonnici and Zolin (2005), Candido (2006), Guimarães (2014), and others.
