“O TEXTO E A CONSTRUÇÃO DOS SENTIDOS”
book analysis
Abstract
Every day, human beings perform various activities for their survival. Due to this characteristic of every individual's life, people often do not reflect on the world around them. However, when analyzing this world, it can be said that everything is text, since the term “text” should not be restricted to traditional models, such as books. Our eyes witness the senses of a wide range of things on a daily basis, the colors, the objects, the architecture, signs, everything has meaning, so the human being is always in contact with different types of texts and he must know how to interpret them in order to survive. This text aims to present a review about the book entitled “O texto e a construção dos sentidos” (2012) by the author Ingedore Grunfeld Villaça Koch. In this book, Koch, once again, brings several reflections on Textual Linguistics, this time on the construction of meanings in both written and spoken text, addressing concepts such as coherence, cohesion, intertextuality, among others.
