APONTAMENTOS SOBRE HISTÓRIA, DOCUMENTO E FICÇÃO EM "O ESPÍRITO DOS MEUS PAIS CONTINUA A SUBIR NA CHUVA", DE PATRICIO PRON

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of O espírito dos meus pais continua a subir na chuva, a novel by Patricio Pron based on the notion of document and its appropriation for the construction of a fictional narrative.

The novel uses documents and archives in a narrative about the present in dialogue with the past. Born in 1975, Pron is the son of political activists and lived through the most recent Military Dictatorship in Argentina (1976/83) during his childhood.

To explain this, explores the reflections about the fragmentation and on the writing of the novel in a dialogue with El espíritu de mis padres sigue subiendo en la lluvia: The Straight Record, the result of the author's father's notes on reading the book added to documents located by the author. after publication. Thus, through the analysis of the selected novel, a characterization of the entanglement between document, fiction, past and present in the construction of contemporary fictional narratives will be established.
