authorship in the Information Age

Abstract

This discussion starts from an analysis of the fragmented novels Reflexos do baile, by Antonio Callado, and Setlist, by Daniel Manzoni, and tries to understand how manifestations of power are developed in the authoring process. For that, I rely on the relations between body and power, described by Michel Foucault in his History of Sexuality, applying this approach to the overexposure and dissolution of the link between identity and body in virtual interactions. With that, I tried to demonstrate how information comes to have an important role in the contemporary subject's personality.
