Abstract

This work is a reflection on issues addressed in the context of global changes related to climate, more specifically on the issue of CFC’s and the ozone layer besides some of its theoretical and technical aspects. Implications of different kinds are assessed, such as political and economic issues arising from response actions to the problems attributed to its production and its connotations from the Montreal Protocol and Vienna. It is also discussed the effectiveness of these actions and their impacts on the environment, making a reflection on the role of science and its links with the economy and their correlation with the incidence of radiation, among other aspects to the west of Bahia.
