Abstract

While a kind of activity dedicated to share experiences, the musical expression is submitted to an historical and social framework. The various forms of behavior of the public, promoted and guaranteed by certain socio-technical conditions, constitute a hearing formatting, by fixing collective praxes of listening. At the same time, the existence of an invariant feature (the hegemony of tonal system in western music), places the possiblity that those frames are, in turn, submitted to a tipical attitude, which corresponds to an affective disposition historically overarching.

Author Biography

Monclar Valverde, IHAC-UFBA

Doutor em Filosofia pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1996), com pós-doutorados em Teoria da Comunicação (Paris V, 2002) e Filosofia (UFPR, 2008). Possui graduação em Física pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA, 1975) e mestrado em História pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1986). É professor adjunto na Universidade Federal da Bahia. Tem experiência nas áreas de filosofia e comunicação, com ênfase em estética da comunicação, fenomenologia da expressão e hermenêutica da sensibilidade, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: comunicabilidade, experiência estética, arte, gosto, expressão, sentido e sensibilidade. Lidera o Grupo de Pesquisa sobre Estética e Existência e é também músico e pesquisador da canção popular. Em sua produção, destacam-se os cds Word Music (2003) e Cinema Imaginário (2004) e os livros Objetos de Papel (Letras da Bahia, 2000), Estética da Comunicação (Quarteto, 2007) e Merleau-Ponty em Salvador (Arcádia, 2008).
