Abstract

O caso WikiLeaks é um exemplo concreto e explicitador de como podem ser íntimas as relações entre governos e empresas, num processo que fragiliza a democracia e relativiza a disposição dos governos de agir prioritariamente em função do interesse público. Neste trabalho oferecemos, frente ao episódio do WikiLeaks e a partir de uma perspectiva regulatória e política, um breve resumo sobre as respostas que emergiram em um dos principais espaços globais de discussão sobre a governança da rede mundial de computadores – o IGC, Caucus da Sociedade Civil para a Governança da Internet - em sua tentativa de responder à complexidade desta disputa sobre a vigilância, o controle, a liberdade e a autonomia no ciberespaço.
