Sjögren's Syndrome is an inflammatory disease that affects exocrine glands, especially lacrimal and salivary glands. The complaint of dry mouth constitutes the major clinical manifestation, which is followed by salivary glands enlargement, due to a gradual infiltration of linfocites. Although this disease affects mainly middle-aged women, it may also occur in children, youths and men. In this article, the authors present a literature review about Sjögren's syndrome, focusing on its clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods and treatment.Downloads
