Abstract

This article contains a reflection on our experiences during the reconstruction of memories of the search for
Daniela Mostacilla’s father. Throughout the text, we share different moments that we experience during this process: points of arrival; emotional and personal discharges generated; reviews of our self-perceptions from the personal to the professional dimension; the empowerment of women and their political and critical role; proposing even an outline that might be replicated or adapted to other contexts. We reflect on the methodology used during this process, highlighting
its creativity and flexibility. Additionally, as an ongoing process, we contemplate possibilities of incorporating other methodological tools from and beyond writing, in order to stress how the reconstruction of memories is a form of a healing process.
