Abstract

Abstract: This paper is the result of our research in the doctorate that presents questions little dealt with in the
academic literature about sex in traditions of African origin such as Batuque and Candomblé. We offer an
afrotheological analysis of the Borí in Batuque ritual; we analyze certain aspects of Orisha and offer an
afrotheological interpretation to the theme; we will deal with interpersonal relationships as sexual acts and romantic
relationships between the experiencers and we will briefly deal with elements of sexuality and gender identity. As a
method we use eshuneutics.
Keywords: Afrotheology. Sex. Sexualities. Borí. Romantic relationships.
