Abstract

The article discusses peculiarities of research in Art / Dance in the academic realm. Seeking to find elective affinities with artistic research, a literature review was performed working with the notions of cultive, process and journey. In this reflection, research is understood as a process of confluence and cultivation of the act of understanding. We problematize the presence of research in art/Dance at the University emphasizing antagonisms between art and school and presenting arts specificities. From the entanglement of theory and practice, dance as thought-feeling body constitutes itself theory. The body is approached from its condition of space of intersections which drives desirable actions in inter and transdisciplinary research in dance.

Atriz e artista de dança. Doutora em Artes pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Especialista em Neurociências e Comportamento Instituto de Ciências Biológicas (ICB) e em Neuropsicologia Fundação Mineira de Educação e Cultura (FUMEC). Professora do Departamento de
Fotografia, Teatro e Cinema da Escola
de Belas Artes da UFMG. Membro do Grupo Transdisciplinar de Pesquisa em Artes Cênicas.
