Sinergismo do Licopeno e Outras Drogas Contra o Câncer: uma prospecção tecnológica

Resumo

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo realizar um estudo prospectivo sobre a utilização do licopeno, com atividade antitumoral comprovada em literatura, em adição a outras drogas antitumorais no combate ao câncer. Para tanto, foram realizadas pesquisas nos bancos de dados de patentes como INPI, USPTO, Espacenet e WIPO, bem como em artigos científicos nas bases PubMed, Web of ScienceTM, Scopus e Scielo, com o uso de palavras-chave e de operadores boleanos específicos, utilizados no campo de busca relativo ao título ou ao resumo dos arquivos. Verificou-se um baixo número de documentos referentes à aplicação do licopeno contra o câncer e a inexistência de patentes explorando o potencial sinérgico com outras drogas. Além disso, nas bases de dados de artigos científicos e patentes, foram encontrados poucos arquivos relacionados com a atividade anticâncer do licopeno e seu efeito sinérgico, reforçando o caráter inovador das pesquisas que envolvem o uso desse carotenoide.
