Body aesthetics

This research aims to investigate how the formation of a bachelor's degree in Physical Education contributes to the understanding of the social determinations of body aesthetics, that is, trying to understand the theme of body aesthetics within the university in a process of training Physical Education teachers, which its influence on the incorporation of new generations of teachers and how issues related to aesthetic values have been discussed in the training of Physical Education teachers. The methodology used was quantitative-qualitative descriptive transversal, with application of a questionnaire to undergraduates of the bachelor's degree in Physical Education from two universities in Goiânia-GO that offer the course, one being private and the other public. The sample consists of 150 volunteer participants. The results showed that there were no differences of thought among the participants in relation to the social determinations of body aesthetics, but only a theoretical maturation of the graduating students in relation to the freshmen in the field of biological sciences, corroborating with an uncritical thinking, maintaining the status quo, and prefiguring an absence of discussions about the movement of the social being as a socio-historical construction.
