Tragédia e melodrama em Dançando no escuro

O filme de Lars Von Trier, Dançando no escuro (2000), oferece elementos para refletirmos sobre o diálogo entre o melodrama e a tragédia. A análise do filme beneficia-se especialmente das análises da narrativa e da trajetória da personagem principal, Selma. O referencial teórico é marcado pela reflexão de Raymond Williams (2002) e a possibilidade de pensarmos uma tragédia moderna, da sistematização do melodrama conduzido por Ivete Huppes (2000), e do estudo da tragédia de Albin Lesky (I971). Entendemos que Selma sintetiza, em sua personalidade e suas ações, características do melodrama e da tragédia, atualizando o gênero trágico para a contemporaneidade.Downloads
