Evaluation of the Quality Infrastructure Applied to Autonomous Vehicles in the Brazilian Scenario

Abstract

The future of the automotive industry in the world concerns the manufacture and evolution of autonomous vehicles and their insertion in each of the economies will directly depend on the investments applied to the pillars of Metrology, Regulation and Accreditation that form the Quality Infrastructure. The development takes place in 6 different stages, starting with the selection of the system to be studied and ending with the elaboration of a diagnosis of the analyzed Quality Infrastructures. This work indicates the main strategies for Brazil to be prepared to safely receive, by 2030, level 3 autonomous vehicles, being able to test and regulate its main system under development, considering that the results found demonstrate that despite having the technical capacity to achieve the necessary development, we still need to overcome difficulties experienced in the current scenario.
