A sala audível: Introdução a uma Antropologia Histórica do Som na Arquitetura

Abstract

Este artigo oferece uma introdução ao campo da Arquitetura Aural (Blesser), sob a perspectiva de uma Antropologia Histórica do Som (Schulze). As duas primeiras partes: O que é o som de uma construção? A perspectiva auditiva antropológica introduzem a necessidade de uma abordagem diferente de falar de experiências auditivas no planejamento urbano e na arquitetura funcional. Especialmente os conceitos convencionalizados da percepção sensorial em sentidos separados e compartilhados são criticados, e uma abordagem mais aberta, corporal e situacional é proposta; o conceito de uma verdadeira, e ainda em desenvolvimento, perspectiva auditiva (Auinger/Odland) pode ajudar aqui. A terceira parte, Arquitetura Aural, dá uma introdução às questões de investigação e primeiras publicações deste campo; a última parte do artigo, A Sala Audível, propõe o conceito de salas audíveis (seguindo o conceito de técnicas audíveis de Sterne) na crítica à regulação estatal contemporânea para redução de ruído, em vez de design auditivo.

This article offers an introduction into the field of aural architecture (Blesser) under the perspective of a historical anthropology of sound (Schulze). The first two parts: What is the Sound of A Building? and The Anthropological Hearing Perspective, introduce the necessity for a different approach of speaking about auditory experiences in urban planning and functional architecture. Especially the conventionalized concepts of sensory perception in separated and work-sharing senses is criticized and a more open, corporeal and situative approach is proposed; the concept of a genuine and yet to develop hearing perspective (Auinger/Odland) can be of help here. The third part, Aural Architecture, gives an introduction to the research questions and first publications of this field; the last part of the article, The Audile Room, proposes the concept of audile rooms (after Sterne’s concept of audile techniques) in critique of contemporary state-regulations for noise reduction instead of auditory design.
