Located in the city of Feira de Santana, in the State of Bahia, Brazil, the Olhos D'Água sub-basin has been suffering a marked process of environmental deterioration due to inappropriate use of the soil and its water resources. Thus, this article aims to demonstrate the importance of linear parks, by proposing the implementation of a linear park on the terraces of the Olhos D'Água river, in the Muchila neighborhood, in the city of Feira de Santana. The implementation of this proposal will place Feira de Santana in a prominent position regarding proactivity in the treatment of integrated and participatory planning of water resources in urban areas. In addition, it will allow both the river and the vegetation to provide their ecosystem services to the population, such as mitigating the effect known as "heat islands", in addition to generating a space for recreation, coexistence and environmental education.
