Three research projects developed in Uruguay in the 2008-2019 periods are presented. The informational behavior of young women, adolescents and older women from unfavorable contexts and their access to information for their daily life, specifically in health, were addressed by interdisciplinary teams. The research methodology used qualitative techniques: in-depth interviews, questionnaires, observations, focus groups, and document analysis. The role of social mediators of information, especially health services personnel, is relevant and they emerge as an essential bridge for the phenomenon of the transfer and internalizationof information.
