Organic fertilizer in cultivation of Butterfly Pea in the semiarid region of Brazil
Abstract
To evaluate the organic fertilization (0; 7; 14; 21 and 28t/ha of sheep manure) on production and aerial part biomass partition and root, beyond quantifying the structural characteristics of stem and leaf of Butterfly Pea (Clitoria ternatea L.), we carried out experiments in a greenhouse in the semiarid region. The experimental design was completely randomized, with five doses sheep manure and four repetitions. After 15 days of the treatments applied in the pots, three seedlings were transplanted in the pot kept near field capacity up to 45 days, when it were collected and evaluated. The organic fertilization did not contribute neither in the aerial part biomass and root nor in the leaf structural characteristics, while, for the trunk structural characteristics, there was an increase in the main branches and secondary branches. However, the conditions of this research has contributed little to organic manure on growth and development of the Butterflay Pea grown with different doses of sheep manure, but it was observed a significant improvement in chemical parameters of soil, thus requiring that more research be performed with longer period of cultivation.Downloads
