Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, complies with the specifications in the 'Guidelines for Authors,' including the use of the template file for the selected section, and is not under review for publication in another journal.
  • All Internet page links (URLs) included in the text (e.g., http://www.ibict.br) are active and ready to click.

Author Guidelines

Submitted works must be original and written in Portuguese or Spanish, and will undergo a blind review for possible approval and publication.

Images, when included, should be inserted throughout the text but also sent separately in TIFF or JPG format, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Files in other formats will be accepted, or not, subject to evaluation by the Editorial Team.

The texts must fit into one of the following sections of Cadernos PPG-AU/FAUFBA:

  • Article: a scientific textual production resulting from research, with declared authorship, establishing debate on ideas, concepts, methodologies, techniques, and technologies, as well as other processes related to the broader disciplinary field of architecture and urbanism. It must be presented in the template of this section, which can be downloaded here.
  • Conversation: a record of interviews or other forms of dialogue or communication, such as debates, lectures, roundtable discussions, and others, revolving around relevant themes within the broader field of architecture and urbanism.
  • They must be presented in the template of this section

  • Review: a summary, analysis, critique, and interpretation of a source or reference relevant to the broader field of architecture and urbanism, in which a value judgement is made about the work under review—be it a book, thesis, dissertation, anthology, monograph, film, artwork, project, etc.—using established references, providing historical context, and highlighting relevant aspects. It must be presented in the template of this section,  which can be downloaded here.
