Abstract

The Bachianas Brasileiras, composed by Heitor Villa-Lobos, are one of the most important compositional series of this remarkable Brazilian musical artist. Unscripted in one of the villa-lobians phases that can be considered the ‘phase neoclassic – in the sense of realization of musical works supported by musical forms well constructed – or baroques or neoclassic – this series constitutes an exemplar opportunity to discuss musical forms as the fugues. The aim of the paper is present simultaneously the series of the Bachianas... and some of the forms involved.
