The Women's Peace and Security Agenda (MPS) was settled at the Security Council by Resolution 1325. Prior to this document, there were regulations that boosted the Gender and Security discussion in the international system Gender discussions in the field of International Relations are relatively recent and still incipient, when considering other areas of the human sciences. With this in mind, we analyze the evolution of international regulations on the MPS Agenda and its developments with regard to the Brazilian case. Based on Bardin and Moraes, the methodology Content Analysis applied on the selected documents, namely: documents prior (1) and subsequent (2) to Resolution 1325. We analyze its developments in Brazil with the National Action Plan (PNA) of 2017. We seek to contribute to overcoming the gaps in the field of security and gender studies, in particular by identifying the limited advances of the MPS Agenda at national and international levels. Finally, we indicate how the MPS Agenda and the PNA are insufficient with regard to the safety of Brazilian women.
