Violência sexual contra crianças e adolescentes na Bahia 2011 a 2020: uma análise dos registros do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação

Introduction: Sexual violence this is considered a global problem with many challenges to be faced, which generate strong social and public impacts. Objective: Describe notifications of sexual violence against children and adolescents in the Information System of Notifiable Diseases (SINAN) in the state of Bahia, from 2011 to 2020. Methods: This is a descriptive epidemiological study carried out with data from notifications of SINAN grievances. The absolute and relative frequencies were calculed and the Proportional Percentage Variation. Results: The data point to a greater predominance of cases of violence in females (86.0%), in adolescence (62.6%), the perpetrator of violence being male (86.6%) and with a degree of bonding as friends/acquaintances of the victim (27.6%), being practiced as violence in the home (67.0%) and through rape (71.7%). Conclusions: Sexual violence against children and adolescents occurred with females, adolescents, through rape by a male aggressor and friends/acquaintances of the victim. Health education actions and social actions are needed to prevent risk factors for sexual violence with children and adolescents and their families.
