Abstract

Cognitive therapy has been showing efficacy in modifying certain cognitive processes, such as vocal performance. The purpose of the present paper is to develop cognitive cueing stories for children's voice treatment. A number of 5 boys, aged between 8 to 14 years, being treated at the voice clinic of the Human Communication Disorders Department of UNIFESP, participated in this research, with dysphonia diagnosis. We can conclude that the procedures used were effective in order to produce children stories for voice treatment.
