Abstract

This study analyses the use of auxiliary personnel by dentists, with the private activity in Campina Grande city. The sample was made by 67 professional, selected between those who are registered in Regional Dental Council - PB. The dates are collect by questionnaire with questions about activities developed by the staff. Observed that 71.7% (48) of dentists employ auxiliary personnel. However, as only 39.6% of those people are registered in the Regional Dental Council. The most delegated activities registered were to schedule appointments (95.8%) and organization of archive and file (89.5%). Results show that exists few use of the auxiliary personnel by dentists and efficiency of dental practice could be greatly improved if they are used appropriatel.
