This work aimed at evaluating antibodies against bovine parainfluenza type 3 (PI-3) and bovine leukemia (BLV) viruses in six counties from the state of Bahia. The samples were bovines, at 1-4 years old, without any previous clinical records, vaccination or laboratory diagnose backgrounds of the illness. From the 187 sera sample analyzed by the haemaglutination test for PI-3, 128 were seropositive (68,5%) and 59 sera (31,5%) negative. The 128 seropositive results showed that 42 sera had 80 IUHA, 67 sera 160-320 IUHA and 11 sera equal or greater than 640 IUHA. The results for BLV using an ELISA commercial test showed 14 seropositive ones (7,5 %) from the 187 sera samples analyzed. The results obtained are discussed in this paper.Downloads
