Replacement of nitrogen by bovine manure on forage productivity and soil quality
Abstract
The bovine manure is one of the alternativesfor decreasing costs with the pastures fertilization supplying a nutrients input. The present study had the objective to evaluate the use of several compositions of bovine manure and nitrogen as pastures fertilizers of Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu. The experiment was carried out with a Typic Quartzipsamment in Araguaína (TO), Brazil. Were tested five proportions of bovine manure in combination with ureia (0; 25; 50; 75 e 100% of bovine manure). Two grazing simulations were accomplished for the study of forage productive answers and soil analysis in the depth of 0-10 and 10-20cm in the end of forage evaluations . In all parameters studied the best answers were found in treatments that had a combination of urea and bovine manure. The chemical quality of soil was increased as the levels of bovine manure were incorporated to the treatment, where the highest values of calcium and phosphorus occurred at a level of 100% of bovine manure. The highest production and composition of pasture were achieved when the composition of bovine manure and urea ranged around 40 to 50% of manure.Downloads
