Abstract

The experimental was carried out in the “Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná, located in “Marechal Cândido Rondon, PR” in Red Distroferric Latosoil, with the objective of avalue the effect of N (0, 100, 200, 300 e 400 kg/ha) on the leaf elogantion ratio (LER), leaf appearance ratio (LAR), leaf length (LEL), filocron (Fil), dry matter yield (DMY), percent of crude protein (%CP), neutral detergent fiber (%NDF), acid detergent fiber (%ADF) in Panicium maximum cvs. Mombaça, Tanzânia-1 and Milênio. The experimental design was randomized blocks in factorial scheme 5x3x3 being five N doses, three cultivars of forages and three replications. After uniformization cut, the morphogenics characteristics was evaluated in each three days, during 42 days of regrowth and after was estimated the DMY and determinated the %CP, %NDF and %ADF. The LER, LAR, LEL, DMY and %CP increased with N doses, agreement with the function of second degree. The FIL reduced of the quadratic form as a function of the N doses. Did not was difference between cultivars in the LER, LAR, DMY and %NDF, but cv. Mombaça and cv.Tanzânia-1 presented higher %CP an lower %FDA than cv. Milênio, in that was detected higher LEL and FIL. The regrowth of cv.Tanzânia-1 provided LEL and intermediate FIL and in the cv. Mombaça was lower.
