Patrimônio, Cultura e Identidade na cidade

Abstract

Este artigo faz uma breve reflexão sobre as noções de cultura nas cidades contemporâneas e aborda, a partir de um exemplo, aspectos dos encontros que se estabelecem no compartilhamento cultural em cidades. As vozes das periferias em contraste com as vozes estabelecidas promovem uma discussão sobre o patrimônio, sobre memória e sobre o papel dos monumentos identitários. As reflexões se dão a partir de uma cidade de porte médio no sul do Brasil, Itajaí. Trata-se de uma análise das práticas e representações presentes nas formações discursivas das políticas de patrimônio no âmbito local. O olhar sobre o local procura ler as maneiras como operam táticas e estratégias no combate simbólico pelo pertencimento e pelo reconhecimento. PALAVRAS-CHAVES: Patrimônio cultural. Memória e cidade. Heritage, Culture and Identity in the city ABSTRACT: This article is a brief reflection on the notions of culture in contemporary cities and it approaches, from one example, aspects of the meetings that take place in cultural sharing in the cities. The voices on the periphery in contrast to the established voices promote a discussion on heritage, on memory and monuments on the role of identity. The reflections occur from a medium-sized city in southern Brazil, Itajaí. This is a review of practices and representations in the discursive formations of policies at the local heritage. The look on the site attempts to read the ways they manage tactics and strategies in the symbolic combat for belonging and recognition. KEYWOORDS: Cultural Heritage. Memory and the city.
