Abstract

O artigo discute as relações entre cultura e desenvolvimento, percebendo o hiato existente entre o campo cultural e o econômico. O objetivo a que se propõe é ir além das análises incompletas e das facticidades que usualmente cercam o debate e compreender as razões pelas quais o dado cultural é colocado em segundo plano nos debates políticos e econômicos. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Cultura; Desenvolvimento; Política; Modernidade The article discusses the connections between culture and development, realizing the existent gap between these two fields. The discussion goes beyond the incomplete analysis which usually circles around this debate and, also, understands the reason why the cultural data lies on the political and economical debates backgrounds.
