Manifestações de violência simbólica contra a mulher nos Videogames: uma revisão bibliográfica

Resumo

O presente artigo tem como objetivo revisar e sistematizar a bibliografia acerca da violência contra a mulher nos videogames, buscando encontrar as manifestações de violência simbólica nesse meio. A fundamentação teórica perpassou os conceitos de gênero e violência de gênero, de forma a contextualizar esse tipo específico de agressão contra as mulheres. Abordou-se também o conceito de violência simbólica, aquela que se postula de forma mais sutil na sociedade: pela linguagem. Por meio da coleta de artigos, capítulos de livros, teses e dissertações em diversos repositórios, realizou-se um levantamento acerca do tema e os trabalhos foram categorizados em diferentes manifestações de violência simbólica. Os materiais analisados evidenciam uma consolidação dos estudos acerca da violência contra a mulher nos games e apontam caminhos para futuras pesquisas.
