Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.-
General Information
-Texts should be written in Word for Windows (or a compatible program); formatted by A4; with margins of 2.5 cm; Verdana 11 font for the text; Verdana 10 for inset quotes and epigraphs; Verdana 9 for figure captions and footnotes; with 1.5 line spacing for text, l line spacing for notes, references, captions and long inset quotes.
-Spacing of six (6) points should be maintained between paragraphs. Paragraphs starting at the left margin, not indented. Subtitles within the text in bold, aligned with the left margin, and may be numbered according to the author's criteria.

Presentation page
-Title (and subtitle, if applicable): centered; in bold; capital and small letters; Verdana 12.
-Next line, aligned with the right margin: author's name (in bold) with capital and small letters.
-Line beneath, aligned to the right: Institutional affiliation. Ex: PPGT/USP, SP (Program or Research Group / University / Location).
-Abstract: Begins on the line below the above information and should not exceed 120 words;
followed by
- Keywords: a maximum of four (4), in bold.
-Please copy your list of references in after this information, following this example (elaborated on below): LAST NAME, First name(s), Title: subtitle. Edition. Locale: Publisher, year published.

Text- Epigraphs should be placed 4cm from the left margin; Verdana 10; justified; single-spaced.- If the text includes photographs, drawings or graphic materials attributed to someone other than the author, a letter of authorization should be attached to the submission. Please indicate where graphic materials are to be inserted in the article [Ex: Insert Figure x here], right above the numbered captions, duly referenced by "Figure 1" or Example 1..," (not by textual references such as 'the following figure").- Captions: Title in italics, author, date and source. In Verdana 9. Placement: should be centered and justified; inset from text paragraph by 1.5 cm, both left and right; 8 pts. below graphic material and before the next text paragraph; single-spaced.- Images: must be at least 300 dpi, not to exceed 11cm in height and 13 cm in width, in order that they may be placed on the same page with text above and below the image. All illustrations, in which ever format must be submitted in an archive accompanying the text marked with their corresponding numbers (Fig. 1, 2, 3, etc.,or Ex. 1, 2, 3....). In the case of audiovisual material, the author must indicate in the Supplementary Document where these items can be found be downloaded free on the Internet.- Footnotes: limited to short explanations, indicated by Arabic numerals, in Verdana 9 font.- Textual quotes and references: references for direct or indirect quotes/references placed within parenthesis, by author-date-page (Pavis, 2000, p. 23). If quotes are larger than 4 lines, they should be separated from text by 6 points above and below the quote, and inset from left and right margins by 1.5 cm.-Italics: to be used for foreign words. Special emphasis for any term, or word, may be indicated by bold type the first time the term is used.-Capitalization follows the rules of the language of the text. In general, capital letters for the first letter of proper names, acronyms, and the beginning of titles.-quotation marks: used only for direct quotations within the text, or to indicate a differentiated use of a term. Article titles within the text are put within quotation marks, but not in the list of references.

References: Listed at the end of the article, separated by the nature of the reference (bibliographic; electronic sites; audiovisual; cinematic, etc.). All in Verdana 11, aligned to the left margin, Verdana 11, single-spaced, with 6 points between references.

Chapter in a book by the same author
LAST NAME, First name. Title. In: Title: subtitle. Edition (if different from the first edition). Location: Publisher, date, pages.
Articles
LAST NAME, First name. Article title. Title of journal, location, volume, number, pages, month and year of publication. (OBS: volume, number and pages are abbreviated by v., n., p.)
Online journal articles
LAST NAME, First name. Article title. Title of journal, location, volume, number, pages, month and year of publication. Online: http://www...... Accessed on: April 25, 2012.
Images, audiovisual material
TITLE OF WORK. Author (of original work), performers (in parenthesis, identify occasion for the performance). Location: Producer, date. Private/public funding for the production.

Conditions for submission
Articles that do not adhere to the following items, as elaborated on in the "Instructions for Submission," will be returned to authors.
1. Contributions are original and not previously published. If they being evaluated for publication by any other journal, this should be stipulated and explained in "Commentaries for the editor."
2. The document archive must by in Microsoft Work, OpenOffice or RTF.
3. URLs are given for references whenever possible.
4. The text follows the style sheet for formatting and references.
