Abstract

Dear reader, Welcome to the new ICTUS Music Journal! Good and several are the reasons to celebrate this new volume and number of our scientific magazine that is completely renewed, including a new email address, a new design and appearance, a new management structure that expands and updates the actions in favor of the publication qualified in musical research, started in 1999, our colleague Pedro Kroger being editor. In this path of innovations promoted by ICTUS, we highlight the pioneering spirit in the use of SEER (Electronic Journal Editing System, Portuguese version of the Open Journal System, made available by IBICT), as a platform for presentation, evaluation and publication in line since 2006. In 2009 we innovated again defining the mode of presentation of proposals as continuous flow to which, in this year 2020, we resumed this tradition presenting a completely redesigned publication, with new structures at all levels that, we hope, better reflect this new phase of the ICTUS Music Journal. Always with the aim of a diversified publication in the sub-areas of music research, complying with the relevant international quality standards, with a view to disseminating to the increasingly interested public, the knowledge generated in the production of the scientific and academic field to contribute to the diffusion and critical reflection on the object of our work: music.
